I am an Orthodox Christian, and a professionally-certified teacher, currently looking for work in the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia. I'm also a graduate student at UBC working on a Master's degree in English Literature, hoping to write a thesis that will take up my life-long interest in Christian fantasy and focus on Edmund Spenser and my life-long mentor and hero, C.S. Lewis, comparing their use of fantasy as a genre and tracing the influence of Edmund Spenser's Faerie Queene on C.S. Lewis' Narnian Chronicles. My graduate student work, however, is on hold right now as I look for work to support myself and my fledgling family.

And, speaking of family, I just got married this last August to my beautiful beloved, Sarah Joy Unsworth, now Sarah Joy Hewlett, much to my joy and delight!
